Instructions for Submitting Observing Proposals

An observing proposal for UCO/Lick Observatory consists of two parts: a time application CoverSheet form, and a Scientific Justification.

This web page is for receiving the PDF file containing the Scientific Justification.
The CoverSheet for the observing proposal must be submitted before coming here.
The PI for the proposal must submit the time application CoverSheet via the MiniGrant Observer Home Page. That will produce a CoverSheetId which can be used here when submitting the PDF file containing the Scientific Justification.

Note that the MiniGrant CoverSheet web pages allow modification of an existing CoverSheet.
Please avoid creating multiple MiniGrant CoverSheets for the same proposal.

A Scientific Justification can be submitted by someone who knows the MiniGrant CoverSheetId and the e-mail address of the PI listed in that CoverSheet. The e-mail address must match PI the MiniGrant CoverSheet.

Note that this interface will accept multiple submissions of the Scientific Justification PDF file. To submit a revised Scientific Justification simply return here and again enter the same MiniGrant Proposal CoverSheetId.

Note that the proposal submission deadline is enforced promptly and that system clocks of the UCO/Lick servers use NTP to produce accurate time stamps. Please do not wait until the last minute and try to beat the clock.

For each MiniGrant Proposal, PIs and Co-Is (and their authorized representatives acting on their behalf) can submit proposals by entering the name and e-mail address of the PI and the associated MiniGrant Proposal CoverSheetId.

The MiniGrant Proposal CoverSheetId should have the form of the letter 'M' followed by 3 decimal digits (e.g., M017).

Instructions for TAC Reviewers

The TAC review functions are only accessible via password.
Reviewers must login before they can use the TAC Review System.

TAC reviewers who do not yet have a password or who have forgotten that password: proceed first to the UCO/Lick TAC members registration page.
New TAC members must be authorized after obtaining a password.
The Executive Assistant to the Director <assistant@ucolick.org> can perform this authorization.
